Seyed Mohammad Mousavi

Seyed Mohammad Mousavi was born in Qazvin, Iran, in 1933. He was diagnosed with polio at the age of four, but he never let his disability stop him from achieving his goals. He earned a degree in medicine from the University of Tehran in 1960. He then moved to the United States to pursue a residency in pediatrics. However, he had to abandon his studies after the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War in 1980.

Mousavi returned to Iran and founded the Tovana Association of the Disabled in 1975. The association is dedicated to promoting the rights and dignity of people with disabilities in Iran.

In 1979, Mousavi purchased Firooz Hygiene Group, a struggling baby care company. Under his leadership, Firooz Hygiene Group has become one of the largest baby care companies in the Middle East. The company now employs over 1,500 people, including many people with disabilities.

Mousavi has been recognized for his work in both the business and social sectors. He has been named Iran’s top entrepreneur several times and has been awarded the United Nations Global Compact award for his work on disability rights.

Products of the Firooz Hygiene Group, with the highest quality standards throughout their years of operation, have been successful in attracting the trust of customers and maintaining a continuous presence in the family’s hygiene product basket.
